We love to see our alumni shine. This one is a flavor-packed win.
Black Girl Ventures alum Obi Linton, Co-Founder and CEO of Nicobi Foods, is officially bringing bold, low-sodium flavor to the masses.
Starting the week of May 19, their signature Soul Dust Seasoning will hit shelves in select Walmart stores across the East Coast.
This isn’t just a product launch. It’s a major milestone in a journey built on intention, grit, and vision. What started in one store is now scaling toward 3,000 retail locations by the end of 2025, with Soul Dust already featured in Food Lion, Giant, and Stop & Shop.
Nicobi Foods is more than a brand. With their Nicobi Cares initiative, they’re driving impact through food donations, youth leadership programs, and small business mentorship. Growth and giving are happening side by side.
Want to support a BGV alum doing big things? Look out for Soul Dust at Walmart, and tag us when you spot it on the shelf.

Congratulations to Obi, Nicole, and the entire Nicobi team for seasoning the shelves—and the future—with purpose. We’re proud to be part of your journey.
