Bringing Black & Brown Founders to You: The BGV Pitch Tour

It's time to unite the community to support Black and Brown women founders and their startups. We're doing this through the BGV Pitch Competition Tour. Yes, you read that correctly — a pitch competition tour! We need your presence and your votes. The competition will help Black and Brown women entrepreneurs secure up to $30k in business funding. Come for the small businesses and stay for the networking opportunities. We'll have a DJ on deck spinning tunes, giveaways, Community or Nothing photo booths, and more!

A BGV Pitch Competition is like ‘Shark Tank’ mixed with the elements of a classic “Rent Party.” At a BGV pitch program, the audience decides who the winner is through Raisify.co, our voting platform, with their dollars. The winner is determined by the number of votes, not the dollar amount raised.

The prizes for the pitch competition are:

  • 1st place: $10k

  • 2nd place: $6k

  • 3rd place: $2k

As well as other non-monetary prizes to enhance their business.

Come out, hang out with the BGV team and local Change Agents. Watch and support the founders pitching, network with other business owners and possible investors, and enjoy light refreshments. This is an event you do not want to miss. Other activities to be announced.

Black and Brown women entrepreneurs have the opportunity to tell their story through the lens of the startup ecosystem. Imagine the power we'll find in ourselves when we begin to support one another—when we bring visibility to entrepreneurs who haven't had a seat at the table before.
