For many participants, NextGen represented their first time being encouraged to identify as founders.
Fellows consistently described the experience as transformative, citing mentorship, peer connection,
and early access to entrepreneurial tools as critical to their growth. Exposure to real-world
business concepts allowed students to move from ideation to action with clarity and support.

The program also strengthened long-term pathways into the BGV ecosystem. Student founders
often continued engaging with BGV beyond the fellowship, carrying forward the confidence,
language, and networks they developed through NextGen.

What we’ve learned:
Exposure changes trajectory. When young people are given access to networks
and guidance early, they start building the futures they imagined.
