BGV Pitch
A hybrid program combining pitch with crowdfunding
What is it
The BGV Pitch program flips the traditional pitch experience on its head: we coach entrepreneurs, host a live crowdfunded pitch competition, and connect you to community and professionals to support you on your journey. We democratize funding by allowing the audience to vote with their dollars using our Raisify platform for the founders whose pitch they favor. Each founder has 3 minutes to pitch, followed by a 2-minute Q&A with the audience.
The person with the most votes wins (not the most money raised). The live crowdfunding event is high-energy, fun, and focused on creating a supportive environment that includes the community in the entrepreneurial journey.
What you'll learn
During the Pitch Program Participants will:
Create a 3-minute pitch for your business

Engage in 2 pitch practices to help you effectively deliver your pitch for the competition and beyond.

Receive feedback and tips on an effective pitch deck.

Enter the BGV Universe through the Alumni program, where you will gain access to capital, connections, resources, and exclusive updates and offerings.

Qualifications
To be considered for this program, applicants must be :
Identifying as a under-resourced women founder.
Revenue generating.
51% owned by under-resourced women founder(s).
In good standing.

FAQs
If I apply for the program, am I automatically admitted?
Enrollment is limited. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Information submitted will not be released for other purposes and cannot be returned to the applicant.
How many founders will be selected for the program?
The Final 7 founders will be notified of their acceptance into the program.
Do I have to know how to pitch to apply?
No, prior pitch experience is encouraged but not required.
